We are looking for a highly motivated co-ordinator to join our consents, compliance and enforcement team, where we pride ourselves on providing a fantastic experience to our customers, and meaningfully contribute to achieving great environmental outcomes for our region.

We have a friendly supportive culture with people who are passionate about doing great work. This role is for 6 months while the current co-ordinator is on secondment to another team.

The co-ordinator is part of a team that manages a variety of consenting work – providing plenty of opportunities to understand the resource management process from initial enquiries right through to compliance and enforcement. You will arrange the assignment of resource consents, and oversee our publically notified consent applications including liaising directly with the public and submitters. You will also be responsible for overseeing of our external communications to submitters and the public for major consenting and compliance projects.

 

To succeed in this role you will have

  • Excellent interpersonal, engagement and relationship management skills
  • Experience in using and managing databases
  • An excellent eye for detail
  • An ability to manage multiple projects efficiently, to prioritise competing commitments and proactively manage customer expectations
  • An analytical mind to critically review  our processes and suggest improvements to our practices
  • A proven track record of successfully delivering to customers
  • An understanding of the Resource Management Act, or other legislation
  • Personal attributes including resilience, flexibility, an ability to work with ambiguity and manage a varied workload.
