Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity in our Strategic and Corporate Planning team for a Corporate Planner.  The team has an important role across the organisation in leading and developing Greater Wellington's statutory and non-statutory planning and reporting documents, frameworks and processes.

Most of what we do is linked to our Long Term Plan.  While currently monitoring how well we are delivering to our current plan, we also have our eye on delivering our next Long Term Plan and the road map that will get us there.   We are therefore looking for someone who wants to be part of our journey towards organisational excellence and assist in enhancing our current approach. 

To be successful in this role you will need to be a self-starter, able to manage competing priorities on a wide-range of projects, work with councillors and senior management, as well as engage with the community. You will also need to have a good understanding of planning and business processes and preferably experience in local or central government.  Bring your proactive approach to problem solving, strong analytical skills and customer service ethic to this role and join us in making a difference to the region.
