This role will see you provide leadership, coaching and direction to a team of Resource Advisors - to drive a high performance culture and deliver an outstanding experience for our customers – all while ensuring the regions natural resources are managed in a sustainable way.

We are looking for a highly energised individual who has a proven experience in leading a team to deliver on challenging targets, a high level of resilience, and a passion for the environment.  The role currently has key oversight of waste water and stormwater management, taking water from the region's water bodies, municipal landfills and cleanfills, discharges to air from industry and trade businesses, and managing activities involving contaminated land.   

 

To be successful in the role you will have:

* Be self-motivated, action and results orientated with a real desire to get things done

* The ability to make sound judgement calls, and to successfully mediate complex issues 

* Excellent interpersonal, engagement and relationship management skills

* Personal attributes including resilience, flexibility, with an ability to work in ambiguity

* Experience in managing multiple projects efficiently, to prioritise competing commitments and proactively manage customer expectations 

* An ability to remain focussed on outcomes rather than process

* A proven track record of successfully delivering customers' needs

* Working knowledge of the RMA, proven experience in environmental management or regulation.
