We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Project Engineer to join the Flood Protection team in our Wellington office.

The Flood Protection department has region-wide responsibility for Greater Wellington's river and flood risk management.

The priority for this role is concerned with supporting the strategic asset management planning of flood protection assets, including dams.

The second key area for the role will be supporting systems and business process development associated with new operations and maintenance (O&M) resource consents. 

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification such as BE, NZCE, REA or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in asset management systems and associated procedures, processes and reporting.
  • A high level of project management capability, experience with meeting project deadlines and budgets.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement in consolidating a range of information into a single response.
  • Clear, articulate communication skills, both verbally and written.
