Account Executive – Strategic Partnerships, Marketing and Communications needed to join our Customer Engagement team

Are you passionate about protecting and restoring the environment, and improving outcomes for mana whenua and Māori? Do you enjoy story-telling, connecting the dots and developing innovative marketing and communications solutions in an exciting and fast-paced environment? 

Right now, we need people who can turn their thinking into solutions for the future of an even Greater Wellington.

About the role and what you'll be doing

We're looking for a marketing and communications practitioner to partner with Greater Wellington's strategic portfolios – Strategy Group, Te Hunga Whiriwhiri and Organisational Development.

Reporting to the Key Account Manager Strategic Partnerships, key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement communications and marketing plans across a range of areas within the strategic portfolio.
  • Work with the Key Account Manager to ensure marketing and communications activity is proactively planned, delivered and monitored in line with the portfolios' business strategies and customer engagement objectives.
  • Proactively identify issues and opportunities
  • Be recognized as a skilled verbal and written communicator with a strong relationship, planning and delivery focus.
  • Be a leader and influencer in the Customer Engagement team when it comes to improving outcomes for mana whenua and Māori.

A bit about you:

You'll have a passion for the environment, and a passion for improving outcomes for mana whenua and Māori. It will be advantageous if you have experience working within te ao Māori and know how this experience can be applied in our environmentally-focussed organisation. 

You'll have expertise, and a proven track record in developing and delivering customer-focussed, insights-driven marketing and communications plans and solutions. 

You might even be a Marketing and Communications Coordinator looking to step up to the next level in your career.

You'll have excellent writing and editing skills, be able to build effective relationships, understand complex issues and develop innovative solutions. Competency in te reo me ona tikanga Māori is desirable.
