Account Executive – Catchment & Environment, Marketing and Communications needed to join our Customer Engagement team

Are you passionate about protecting and restoring the environment, and engaging and informing communities?  Do you enjoy story-telling, connecting the dots and developing innovative marketing and communications solutions in an exciting and fast-paced environment? 

Right now, we need people who can turn their thinking into solutions for the future of an even Greater Wellington.

About the role and what you'll be doing:-

We're looking for a marketing and communications practitioner to partner with Greater Wellington's Catchment and Environment groups. You'll be developing and implementing communications and marketing plans across a range of environmental areas from biodiversity to flood protection to fresh water.

Reporting to the Key Account Manager Catchment & Environment, key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement communications and marketing plans across a range of areas within the Catchment & Environment portfolios.
  • Work with the Key Account Manager to ensure marketing and communications activity is proactively planned, delivered and monitored in line with the portfolios' business strategies and customer engagement objectives.
  • Proactively identify issues and opportunities
  • Be recognized as a skilled verbal and written communicator with a strong relationship, planning and delivery focus.

A bit about you

You'll have a passion for the environment, be curious, and not afraid to ask questions. It will be advantageous if you have experience in delivering marketing and communications plans related to environmental issues.   

You might even be a Marketing and Communications Coordinator looking to step up to the next level in your career.

You'll have expertise, and a proven track record in developing and delivering customer-focussed, insights-driven marketing and communications plans and solutions. 

You'll have excellent writing and editing skills, and you'll be able to build effective relationships, understand complex environmental issues and develop innovative solutions. 

A full driving licence is required.
