We're looking for an Executive Assistant to the Chair to join our dedicated and hardworking team. This role is permanent, full-time, based in our central Wellington office, and while it reports directly to the Chief Executive, it has a dotted reporting line to the Chair.
About the role:
This varied role is responsible for providing high level, confidential executive support to the Chair. This role involves working closely with the Councillors, active diary and inbox management, liaising with Central and Local Government, liaising with key business partners, being involved in regional projects, organising events and working with all departments of Greater Wellington.

Skills and experience required:
As the perfect candidate for this role, you'll be an experienced and highly capable senior executive assistant who understands the political environment Greater Wellington operates in, and the role our Council Chair plays. You'll have a high degree of integrity and discretion, ability to build and maintain relationships, superb time management skills and the ability to cope with fast moving and changing situations - this is a busy role! Team fit here is key, you'll work collegially with your colleagues and your calming personality will help set others at ease. Make no mistake, this is a hardworking team, but we also enjoy a laugh – so bring your sense of humour.
