We're looking for a leader in brand, insights and design to help tell the story of how we treasure our rohe and grow our future.

About the role

This is a key leadership role within our Customer Engagement team who help people across the region understand why Greater Wellington exists and why our work matters now and for future generations.  We play a big part in ensuring our communities are at the heart of what we say and do.

You'll lead our brand and insights, internal engagement and creative solutions teams to:

  • Champion the customer's voice internally, capturing and applying insight to Greater Wellington work programmes.
  • Lead Greater Wellington's brand strategy to achieve positive reputation outcomes.
  • Develop our internal engagement strategy aimed at informing, engaging and empowering our people.
  • Oversee the management of the in-house creative solutions team to drive design thinking across Greater Wellington.

 

Skills and experience required

A bit out the skills we are looking for:

  • Fantastic people management skills.
  • You will know how to get the very best out of a cross-functional team to deliver strong joined-up solutions for our internal clients and the communities they serve.
  • Your knowledge and understanding of the importance of tikanga and te ao Māori and the power of indigenous and cultural design frameworks will be essential.
  • You'll have a curious mind with an insight-led and design thinking approach.
  • You'll also have outstanding relationship management and influencing skills and a track record of delivering.
  • As important as all these elements are though what we're really looking for is a real team player who's keen to offer insight and ideas.
