We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join Greater Wellington's Payroll function.  We will support you in your journey as we continue to cultivate effective working relationships with internal customers. 

About the role

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will provide support and advice on payroll matters as well as deliver the successful end to end payroll processing.  

You will utilise your organisation skills, research skills and payroll expertise to ensure compliance with changing business and legislative needs. You will be one of the friendly faces of payroll to contribute and, support Greater Wellington's Council and Operations with listening to the land.  You will work closely with Greater Wellington's HR and Finance teams and external parties.

Skills and experience required

To be successful in this role we are seeking a person with:

  • Payroll experience (TechOne knowledge would be advantageous)
  • Practical experience in problem-solving
  • Effective communication and time management skills
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation and research skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High standards of integrity and honesty
  • Confident and agile individual
  • Sense of humour with a can-do attitude
