What would you do about the stuff that really matters?

Right now, we need people who can turn their thinking into solutions for the future of an even Greater Wellington.

There's a lot more to us than meets the eye. Here at Greater Wellington Regional Council, we're working on the big things that will impact everyone in our region. Ensuring we have uninterrupted access to drinking water, staying safe from the threat of flooding, protecting and enhancing the environment, improving the quality of our fresh water, ensuring we are all connected through our public transport network and planning ahead for the potential impact of climate change across our region. We're people who are genuinely passionate about the work we do, because we believe what we do counts.

About the role

This role is within our Customer Engagement team. Our team help people across the region understand why we're here and why we matter to their everyday lives. We play a big part in ensuring our customer and communities are at the heart of what we say and do.

This is an exciting opportunity within our digital team who'll champion the customer and stakeholder's digital experience with us, enhancing our information architecture, tools and content in line with their needs.

As a digital producer you'll:

  • build awareness of a ‘customer centric' approach to our core GW websites and apps
  • deliver campaign communications across core GW websites
  • maintain and improve content across core GW websites
  • provide digital advice, tools and collateral for change and BAU activity.

A bit about you

You'll be an experienced digital practitioner who's focused on delivering relevant and engaging content for a variety of key audiences. There is also a lot of discussion and cross-functional working across the organisation so you also need to demonstrate great interpersonal and relationship skills. As important as all these elements are though what we're really looking for is a real team player who's keen to offer insight and ideas.

Our benefits

We provide a diverse range of benefits including flexible working options that help our staff balance their own lifestyle and needs with their work commitments. We're also all about growing our people through professional development and experience across everything the council does.
