This report has been prepared for the Wellington Regional Council as part
of work to develop a strategy to achieve an acceptable level of risk from
wildfire in the Wellington region.

This report covers the assessment of hazard factors in the Wellington City
area.

Contents include outline of work undertaken, fire hazard classification,
hazard maps, and hazard reduction.

For the purpose of this study, the region has been divided into three study
areas:
Study area 1 - Wellington City.
Study area 2 - Hutt Valley (including Wainuiomata and Eastbourne)
Study area 3 - Porirua City.
