This report details the bore logging of NZGS geologists and
presents the results of the examinations and analysis of the
strata and water samples by DSIR scientists. This
information is relevant to the present Wellington Regional
Council investigations into the possibility of using
groundwater from the aquifers underlying the Otaki River
floodplain as a source of water supply for the Kapiti Coast to
the south for the urban population of Waikanae and
Paraparaumu.
