We’re seeking an experienced governance professional to join its Finance, Risk and Audit Committee (FRAC) as an External Member.
FRAC plays a critical role in supporting Council oversight and accountability. The Committee oversees, reviews and reports to Council on the effectiveness of Greater Wellington’s frameworks for financial management, risk management, internal controls and audit.
As an external member, you will bring an objective, external perspective to committee deliberations, providing constructive challenge, professional insight and support to the Chair and other members. This role is central to maintaining public trust and confidence in Greater Wellington’s financial stewardship and governance.
The Finance, Risk and Audit Committee supports Council by:
The Committee operates at a governance level and does not have operational decision-making responsibilities.
FRAC meets five times each year, with additional engagement as required to support effective oversight.
